All classes may take maximum hit points at first level and average +1 hit points at each additional level. Ex. - A cleric recieves 8 hit points at first character level. Taking a second level of cleric will result in (8/2=4+1=5) 5 hit points. Taking a 3rd level in paladin will result in (10/2=5+1=6) 6 hit points, etc.
Knowledge (Local)
Knowledge (Local) is a class skill for all classes. It indicates that you have general knowledge of the world, the cultures, and people within it. Rolling against general Knowledge (local) is possible, though the DCs will be 5 (at least) points higher than rolling against a more specific check. When taking ranks in Knowledge (local), a player may specialize, for free, in one region (per the regions in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting or Player's Guide to Faerun). When rolling against Knowledge (Region local), the DCs will be normalized, with no penalty or bonus. When taking ranks in Knowledge (local), a player may additionally specialize in a specific city or smaller area. When rolling against Knowledge (city local), the DCs will be significantly lower (-5 or more). Once specialized, a player may specify another region or city to specialize in by taking ranks in a separate Knowledge (local) skill. Example: A bard from Suzail takes ranks in Knowledge (local). He chooses (for free), to specialize in Knowledge (Cormyr). The DC for his Knowledge (local) checks are 5 points higher for checks relating to Sembia or Westgate, but as normal for all checks relating to Cormyr. He decides to take ranks in a separate Knowledge (local) skill specializing in Suzail. His Knowledge (Cormyr) checks remain the same, but for information directly related to the capitol at Suzail, he rolls against his separate Knowledge (Suzail) skill, and the DCs are 5 points lower than they would be if only rolled against his more general Knowledge (Cormyr) skill.

Bardic Music
Starting a bardic music effect is a swift action. For bardic music abilities that have a duration of concentration, only a swift action is necessary each round to sustain the effect.
